Exhausted but Determined

Have you been watching the Olympics?  I've been captivated by 16-year-old, gold medalist, Gabby Douglas.  Her contagious smile, poise, grace, strength, determination, dedication and skill have made her the most watched Olympian, even ahead of Michael Phelps.  She has put years of hard work towards this goal and is now enjoying the fruits of her labor.

Galatians 6:9 says, "So let's not get tired of doing what is good.  At just the right time, we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don't give up."

How are you doing today, my dear moms?  As moms, we put in the hard work every day because our hearts are fixed on that end goal -- raising children who love God with all their heart, mind, soul and strength.

Today, I just want to encourage you to not get tired of doing what is good.  You are working towards a much grander prize than a gold medal.  The small ways you invest into your child's character and heart today are making a huge difference in who they will become tomorrow.  For most of us, God hasn't called us to be an Olympic champion, but He has called each of us to be a positive, intentional, Godly mom.  With His help, we can become moms with poise, grace, strength, dedication, skill...and a contagious smile.  Other moms will want to know your secret to success!

Each day when you wake up, remember that your life has incredible purpose.  You have been given an unprecedented high calling.  Mom, you matter!  Don't tire of doing what is good!  Don't give up!  For at just the right time, you will reap a harvest of blessing!

One day, if you persevere, you will reach your goal and bask in the fruits of your labor.  When you see your chldren loving God, loving others and making wise choices, it will be like God placing a gold medal around your neck and saying, "Well done, good and faithful servant."

I can hear it now...the music of a "Mom Anthem" played just for us.  Get the podiums ready!  I'll meet you there!

Keep up the great work, my fellow moms!  You're doing an amazing job!  Enjoy your kiddos today!  Tell them what a gift they are to you and how thankful you are that God chose you to be their mom.

Have a great weekend!  Love you, my friends!

Anna ;)
